Leading commercial real estate publication, Globe St., reached out to CBM President, Rick Rivera, for some insights on the ins-and-outs of retail property management.

As Mr. Rivera notes in the article, ADA lawsuits are a “hot topic” these days due to the inordinate number of “drive-by lawsuits.” These are the suits often filed en masse by ethically suspect attorneys who merely dive by several shopping centers and cherry-pick potential violations.

Of course, As Mr. Rivera indicates, compliance is the end-goal. But keeping pace with ADA laws that change annually can be very tough for landlords.
