Rick Rivera’s commercial real estate career spans nearly three decades, showcasing an exceptionally successful track record in shopping center management, sales and leasing. This wealth of industry experience forms the cornerstone of Mr. Rivera’s position as President and CEO of Centers Business Management (CBM), Southern California’s leading shopping center property management, sales and leasing commercial real estate firm.
Mr. Rivera launched his career in the late 1980s as a Retail Specialist. In 1990 he founded CBM’s San Fernando Valley office, a tremendously successful venture which lead Mr. Rivera to become CBM’s President and CEO in 1995. During Mr. Rivera’s tenure as President, CBM has experienced unprecedented growth, nearly tripling its portfolio, and continuing to thrive despite a myriad of peaks and valleys in both the real estate market and the economy as a whole. Mr. Rivera’s passion and commitment to excellence yielded CBM’s reputation as one of the most well regarded real estate firms in the shopping center industry.
As CBM’s President, Mr. Rivera managed CBM’s daily operations and oversees a team responsible for managing and leasing 600+ shopping centers, comprising in excess of 11,000,000 SQFT. Additionally, Mr. Rivera serves as CBM’s lead sales agent, representing Buyers and Sellers in the sales of more than $300 million of Shopping Center properties.
Mr. Rivera compliments his considerable professional achievements with a rich family life. Rick has been married for 28 years; he and his lovely wife are the proud parents of four grown children.
Mr. Rivera holds a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities (Ethics) from Menlo College.
