CBM1’s Jason Ehrenpreis recently completed a lease with Ume Tea on a +/-1,200 SF retail space formerly occupied by Chuck & Blaze hot chicken restaurant. The multi-pad shopping center, situated at the signalized intersection of Vineland Avenue and Magnolia Boulevard, is anchored by a Ralphs grocery store, and hosts several notable co-tenants, including a Carl’s Jr drive-thru, AutoZone, Subway, and Yogurtland.
Launched in Silicon Valley in 2019, Ume Tea, a boba tea café, now boasts 18 locations in three states. This includes 14 sites in California, one in Mesa, AZ, and three in Chicago, IL. The North Hollywood opening marks Ume’s second Southern California store. Currently soliciting franchising partners, Ume is looking to expand nationwide.
The center is superbly located at the epicenter of NoHo Arts District, a one square mile region with an estimated 33,000+ residents. A cultural mecca, the community is home to more than twenty professional theaters, diverse art galleries, dance studios, and the largest concentration of music recording studios west of the Mississippi. The locale is also known for a plethora of trendy eateries and cafes, including Kalaveras, EAT, the Front Yard, Urban Skillet, and more.
